Why do XDAQ ONE & AIO offer 3 VSTIM compliance options?

Why do XDAQ ONE & AIO offer 3 VSTIM compliance options?

XDAQ is designed with maximum flexibility and usability in mind. There might be times when you need higher stim voltages due to electrode impedance ( current I = VStim / Electrode Impedance). Therefore, we designed the box to supply up to 40% extra voltage on either the positive or negative terminal while maintaining the safe limits for the SR X-Headstage.

The 3 configurable options are:

  • +/- 7V (V1 LED)

  • +10V to -4V (V2 LED)

  • +4V to -10V (V3 LED)

Look for the KonteX Tab in the XDAQ-compatible software applications to switch between modes.

If you are willing to sacrifice the potential lifetime of the SR X-Headstage (the lifetime reduces from 100 million cycles to 1 million cycles or less), we could customize the voltage output upon request at the time of order to

  • +/- 9V

  • +14V to -4V

    • What options do I have to power the XDAQ?

The XDAQ CORE is powered by a supplied 35W USB-C PD (required power spec: 12V 3A). Note that some power bricks have limited driving capability, preventing the XDAQ from locking in the power (you will hear repeated clicking sounds). In this case, you ...
